ELT 406-AF
The Kannad ELT 406 AF is used to locate an aircraft in case of emergency or accident. In some aircraft models, it's use is mandatory. It can be manually activated by the pilot in case of emergency or automatcly by it's reliable impact sensor. Because of this, search and rescue teams can precisily and easily locate an aircraft's position.

The Kannad 406 AF is programmed with either the aircraft tail number, a serial number or the aircraft operator designator. As the ELT does not need to be opened, this operation only takes a few minutes and can be carried out inside the aircraft
A remote control panel (on option) located in the cockpit allows manual activation and the self test of various operating parameters.
The ELT pinpointing frequency is <1NM precise and it's information are sent to the search and rescue teams in less than a minute after it's activation.
