Due to the extensive experience gained in the market, Avionics Services has developed the Emergency Light Power Unit (ELPU), a power unit that includes an emergency battery that ensures the use of lights in the aircraft for a period in situations of risk or power outage.
This new unit consists of NiMH cells instead of NiCd (used in conventional batteries), and uses discrete signals for batery cells monitoring. It also has sensors which guarantee the functioning of ELPU in emergency situations anywhere in the world, not suffering any changes or operational breakdowns due to drastics teperature changes.
The equipment was developed by qualified engineers and fits all the requirements applicable to battery systems for emergency lighting.
For a more complete control system, the Emergency Light Power Unit can be integrated with the Emergency Battery Monitoring Panel, also developed by Avionics Services, which monitors and displays complete battery diagnosis, such as input and output voltage, internal status, overheating, among other items.
