Avionics Services delivered the 1000th Electromechanical lock to Embraer

Avionics Services has achieved another historic point this week .. We delivered the 1000th Electromechanical lock to Embraer.

This electro-mechanical lock is the main component of the Reinforced Cockpit Door Control System. This system controls the access to the pilot's cockpit meeting the FAA requirements, implemented right after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

This system integrates with today's reinforced cockpit door installed in all Embraer's EMB170 and EMB190 aircrafts for commercial use. It is responsible to electronic control the cockpit door opening. Avionics Services thanks and congratulates everyone involved in this project.
